This was a gift to my dad for Father's Day because he was giving me financial advice and counseling Saturday mornings about a year ago. And no, this isn't an actual "old saying." ;-) Click on the bag for a close up of the picture!
Now I'm sure you all were wondering why all my bags before were tagged as "Traditional Bags"... you weren't? In any case, here's one of a couple bags done in a different style.

Hey, it's Cool Cuts again and this time here to save you money! Or cost you more since your bags would be using it up... if you were wondering where your bottle of Wite-Out went, check your kitchen drawers!
In case you didn't find the bag funny, there's a funny story with this bag! As I was showing this particular masterpiece to folks at my lunch table, lo-and-behold, a vice principal walks over with a puzzled (and slightly disgusted!) look on his face. He asked what in the world “that” was and I quickly explained I make talking paper bags; something perfectly normal for someone my age, right? But looking back, I think he just thought a group of teenagers were laughing at something smeared with blood...
Got another early bag for everyone to enjoy. In case you're wonder what I do mean by an "early bag," I'm simply referring to the bags that I created during my Sophomore or Junior year of high school.
Of even more slight significance, this is the introduction of a "character!" What I mean here is a person/ bag that reappears in more comics with a distinct personality (and same color face). So say hi to "Cool Cuts" and hello to last-minute-names-that-are-puns-based-on-food... Here's one of my early bags. There was a little editting to color the *sigh* bubble, but not much else.
The site's first bag isn't anything thing particularly funny - but I felt the need for some sort of introduction and not just any ol' bag!
This is pretty much the premise of these lunch bags; that they're not just plain old bags, but living, breathing, and caring receptacles of food. Well, actually, they are just plain old lunch bags. And I can't feel a pulse, so I don't think they're living or breathing. But if they're caring, I think they're main concern is the trash can! But you know what I mean. |
